Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is a gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast who steered the U.S. team to victories in both 2012 and 2016. She's won six Olympic medals all over the world as well as being a part of two gold medal-winning World Championships teams. The native of Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's enthusiasm for sport can be traced back to a "mommy & me" gymnastics class she took when she was just 18 months old. Aly is an inspiration on and off the floor and an unwavering advocate for body positivity and recently, she was vocal about Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial. Aly Raisman was born in 1994 and began gymnastics career at an early age. She helped her country's U.S. Gymnastics Team win the 2011 World Championships. Aly Raisman won two medals during 2012 at the London Summer Olympics two of which were for the team, and one for floor exercises. Raisman returned to the Olympics twice in Rio in 2016, winning two silvers, one in the all-around and floor exercises and the other in the gymnastics women's team competition. Raisman confessed in 2017 she was sexually abused by her former team physician Larry Nassar. The following year, she brought a lawsuit with USA Gymnastics as well as the U.S. Olympic Committee.
